Ich mag stille Tage. Tage an denen nichts passiert und doch etwas Besonderes in ihnen liegt. Die vergangene Woche war eine so eine stille Woche. Ein Abendspaziergang reicht manchmal aus um glücklich zu sein.

Heute haben wir festgestellt das ich eine romatische Vorstellung vom Leben habe. Es macht es nicht einfacher. Eher im Gegenteil. Aber ich bin sicher das man sich alles im Leben vorstellen darf und sogar erreichen kann. Wenn man nur will.

I like quiet days. Days in which nothing happens, but they still are special. Last week was such a quiet, but special week. A walk in the evening is sometimes enough.Today we decided that I have a romantic conception of life.

Heute gibt es keinen Corner View zu sehen. Street fashion ist nicht mein Gebiet, auch wenn ich interessiert in Mode bin. Allerdings nicht in Sachen Fotografie. Aber schaut bei den anderen Corner View Mitglieder nach.

Das Corner View Thema für diese Woche lautet: Durch das "Hinterfenster"
Ich mag unseren Ausblick aus dem Fenster nicht wirklich. Eine große graue Decke eines Supermarktes liegt unter uns. Nicht gerade idyllisch. Wir können glücklicherweise weit gucken, so dass wir auch ein paar Bäumchen erblicken.

I don't really like the look out my window. We can see far away, but right beneath the window is the roof of the supermarket. It's a ugly, black flat roof. But I like our big windows. They let in lots of sunshine.

The Netherlands, The Hague

Ich liebe es am Meer zu sein. Einmal im Jahr muss ich das Meer riechen die Wellen hören und den Sand fühlen. Weder in Köln noch in Enschede ist das Meer direkt erreichbar. Doch ist es in Holland ein leichtes die Küste zu erreichen. Die Nordsee mit ihren Geszeiten! Nicht nur im Sommer auch im Herbst und im Winter ist es immer wieder ein tolles Gefühl. Das letzte Mal war ich im Oktober an der Küste. In Den Haag. Kalter Wind und lautes Kreischen der Möwen. Warm eingepackt kann man es dort gut aushalten.

Ein Sommerurlaub ohne Meer ist bisher nicht möglich gewesen. Mich zieht es zum Wasser. Immer. Dann wenn man sich mit mehreren hundert Leuten den Strand teilt. Das sind natürlich eher die schlechteren Bedingungen. Manchmal findet man dann doch einsame Plätze, die nicht überfüllt sind und man nicht wie die Sardinen in der Dose am Strand liegen muss. Ich ziehe den Atlantik, dem Mittelmeer vor, da es dort rauher und spannender zugeht. Aber das Mittelmeer hat auch seine Vorteile, dort wo das Schnorcheln und auf der Luftmatratze liegen möglich ist. Erholung pur.

Ach ich freu mich darauf. Egal wo ich landen werde: Nordsee, Ostsee, Mittelmeer, Atlantik...

First of all, I love the beach. Once every year I must go the sea. It's a 2 hour drive to the Nordsee. I love the tides, the sound of the gulls.
The last time I was on the beach was in october. In The Hague. With warm clothes you can resists the cold breeze. I love the smell of the sea, to feel the sand and hear the sound of the waves.

But I also like the summer holidays, which are always near the sea. I always hope to discover a place, which isn't full of people.

The Netherlands is a small country and I love the fact, that you can get everywhere in a short time. I live in the east of the Netherlands in a town that doesn´t show the typical atmosphere of the Netherlands to me. That´s why I show you two picture of other towns. The first was shot in Amsterdam and the second one in Deventer, which is not far from my Dutch hometown.

A little bit about me: Born in Germany I grow up in Cologne. Since 2 years I live in the Netherlands. With Pim. Most of the time I live in the Netherlands, but I'm very often in my hometown Cologne. My Corner Views are for this reason about both countries.



"Einen Milchkaffee, bitte!" do you say, when you are in a café and you want to drink a latte. This is my favorite coffee to drink.



I love to go in a café with people to talk about this an that. But I also like to sit alone with a book or look around at all the other people.



At home (in the Netherlands) I drink filter coffee. Black and without sugar. But always with something to eat :)



In the Netherlands you often drink a kopje koffie in the evening, around 8pm, after dinner. For me that's too late to drink coffee. Another strange thing is drinking coffee and eating cake in the evening, that normally (in Germany) happens around 4 pm. Kaffee und Kuchen time! :)
